Additional Companies

Postby Zachary The First » Wed Jan 17, 2007 9:03 am

Hi Fellas,

First off, I love this site! As soon as I get a bit of disposable income, I have a wish list about a mile long. :)

I also wanted to discuss a few other companies I think make quality products and would be a big boost to the site. Of course, not being in the co-op, I don't know if you've already looked into these companies or they weren't interested or what, but here are a few I thought of:

1) Atomic Sock Monkey: Truth & Justice, Zorceror of Zo, PDQ System
2) Preics Intermeida/PIG: Iron Gauntlets, Steampunk Musha, etc.
3) Silver Branch Games: Questers of the Middle Realms
4) mysticages.com: Eldritch Ass Kicking
5) West End Games: d6
6) Fat Dragon Games: Good module/source material
7) Tabletop Adventures: Really, really good GM resources
8] Darkfuries Publishing: Maps!
9) Skeleton Key Games: Maps!
10) Troll Lord Games: Castles & Crusades, Gygaxian Fantasy
11) Quik Link Interactive/RPG Realms: Traveller stuff

Anyhow, just on my mind that those are all companies I've pruchased from before, and likely would again. Thanks!

I should also mention Indie Press Revolution. They have several companies on there with small but dedicated fan bases, and might lead to getting a whole new group to visit YGN.

Hi Zach,
Good suggestions and I am not sure who Joe has already contacted. Some of those companies, like PIG, might be less interested in YGN than others due to their pretty formidable store front of their own.

As for IPR, I do not know about approaching them as much as their member companies. IPR does not do PDF right?

Not as much as other stores, but a lot of the individual companies do. What I meant was, approaching the member companies. Sorry for the murk. :)

Heya Zachary,

Generally individual companies have to approach us expressing interest. I'd recomend you send an e-mail to the companies whose products you enjoy and nudge them our way. We're always looking for new members who're interested in our cooperative way of doing business.

I went ahead and sent requests to several companies I thought would be nice additions. I don't know if any of them will follow up, but I thought it was at least worth a try.

And we appreciate it Zachary! Getting more publishers is an important part of growing Your Games Now and when a publisher hear's from a customer, they tend to listen a little bit more. :)

Thanks!
